I've recently uploaded the Netscape 0.6.4 Aluminum theme after porting it to NS 8.0.2+. It still needs some polish but functionally it should work fine. Please provide and constructive comments regarding the theme in this thread.

I like that. Really. Thank you!
One small anomaly I found so far: the icon for "Security Center" in the Customize dialog is not correct: it looks the same as the Autofill icon. Only when you drag it to a toolbar does it change into its correct shape (the shield).

By the way, I'm not sure if this anomaly already existed in the pre-Beta.

Great job, Sailfish.
This version looks even better than the previous ones. I love the details around the search bar and the contrast on icons in the toolbar.
IMHO you still are the best .

Dear Sailfish,

Apart from the problem described by Pim I found another one: when you go to a securte website the location bar does not fill completely in yellow as normal does, only the part reserved for the icon of the site does.

Great theme, nice ...

However, all of my bookmarks in the Personal Toolbar are once again underlined ..... drat!

Pim, fixed the site controls icon problem in palette.

Luciano, fixed several secure site issues (URLBar color, URLBar lock icon and statusbar anti-phis domain name.) As an aside, the Fusion theme's URLBar not only doesn't change color, it doesn't display the secure lock in the URLBar, either, fwiw.

Jay, could you post an attachment which illustrates this? Also, do any other themes cause a similar problem?

All, thanks for the quick feedback and the replacement theme has been uploaded. I still have more work to do with some graphics and other polish items, margins, borders, etc. but wanted to get this one up now because of the security limitations.

Over here, this happens too, only with bookmarks within folders in the toolbar; is that true for you too?
And I noticed a strange thing: when I created a couple of new folders and dragged some random pages into them, those weren't underlined. Only the folder I had created earlier had underlined items.
This lasted until I had restarted Netscape; after that, all the items in those folders were underlined.
Do you have the same experience? If so, it may be a clue.

All of the entries on the PTB are not underlined until moused-over. All of the bookmarks in folders are underlined regardless. I created a new folder and even the word "empty" is underlined as well as after dragNdropping a new bookmark to the folder.

ah-ha! What an esoteric bug to find! It looks like it's a gecko problem, though. The reason some themes don't exhibit it is because the use the native widgets for displaying menus; whereas, Sky Pilot Classic and Aluminum Alloy do not.

Here's the culprit CSS that's causing the problem:

toolbarbutton.bookmark-item:hover {
text-decoration: underline;
}

Without getting too arcane, that underline style should only occur when hovering over a toolbarbutton bookmark item, which is what the original Aluminum theme wanted as can be seen when hovering over any bookmark item on the toolbar. However, it seems the parser also includes bookmark folder items AND all of their children???

Anyway, here's the userChrome.css override that should fix the problem for all themes:

toolbarbutton.bookmark-item:hover {
text-decoration: none !important;
}
toolbarbutton.bookmark-item:not([container="true"]):hover {
text-decoration: underline !important;
}

It will be in the theme the next time I upload it.
