Hello All- I thought I had posted this request last week- but somehow I suppose it failed to post. I am putting it here because I feel a strong connection to the woman who is a part of this prayer request and I hope that all women in this forum can send her a special light and connection with Goddess through themselves to her heart.
In whatever way you all do your loving "magick", please help me help this woman and her family with prayer and blessings!
Her name is Sandy- her husband is Jim and her Son is Jeff.
Last week she and her son came by Matthews yard sale as he was putting it up- they were not even in the neighborhood to do a yard sale, but to see a woman friend who has cancer. They had passed it up and she asked her son to turn back, she felt pulled to come to the yard sale after all.
After a few minutes of talking to Matthew, they left. An hour or so later, they were back, and lugging sacks of food that they had left our house and bought for us- she said she hoped it did not upset us that she felt compelled to do that. When she came in, Matthew introduced us, and she told me that some how she felt it was divine intervention- her and her husband and son had been praying for a family they could do something for since they had come into a bit of money- not a lot, but enough to share in some way with another family- and when she heard Matthew tell what happened to him, she knew we were the family. She said she had been blessed and wanted to share it with us, and that it would bless her family to do so.
I tried to not cry- but it was overwhelming! And then I prayed to Goddess that she was not one of those loving "psuedo-Christians" who does a good deed and then if you don't come to their church, they tell you that you are sick because you are still sinning against God... To my wonderment, she wasn't- in fact she told me they loved God, but could worship him on a log in the front yard if need be. They hadn't found a church yet that agreed with their understanding of God- though they did not knock a four walled church, theirs was a church without walls and void of negativity. I breathed a sigh of relief.
So I asked her what I could do to help her- and she said just help others when I could.
Later we talked on the phone, and I found out that she and her husband and son had it nearly as bad if not worse than Matt and me- she had been sick, her son left his job in another town to come be with her, and her husband has cancer! I also discovered that I knew her husband from AA twenty years before- which was before she and he were married. He is still sober twenty seven years. I tell you - this woman and I had much to talk about and her pull to come to my house did seem divine!
Well, I asked her what I could do for her-and she said that the husband, Jim could no longer work as a comercial fisherman- and that they needed to sell their boat to make ends meet. Besides they could no longer keep it up- boats that size are expensive to maintain, even when not in use.
So I am asking for prayer for this family - I have given it much thought and have searched my heart - they are truly in more need than they have offered to let on- I just know this.
So if you find it in your heart to, please send light and prayers and blessings to these folks. And honor them in ways that will bless them for the selfless act of charity honoring my family, sharing their last even in their darkest hour.
