SCOREBOARD

Anne Hughes - 4
Luke lukelemke - 3 1/2
Terry - 2 1/2
Rosemary - 1/2
Michael Knight - 1/2
Dave Mercado - 1/2

Anne Hughes has taken the lead by telling us Lucy Long was a gift to Robert E. Lee from J. E. B. Stuart.  ( I should have known Anne would jump on that one.  I hope she doesn't look a gift horse in the mouth).  Kudos to Anne!

The first time I was there, a bunch of carrots lay on the grave.

For a whole point, tell us where Traveller is buried.

TRIVIA RULES
1. Trivia questions will be posted Monday through Friday.
2. The game will be to ten (10) points, with the first person to reach 10 points the winner.
3. However, the winner must win by a margin of two (2) points.
4. After reaching five (5) points, a contestant must wait 24 hours after a question is posted before answering
5. Part credit may be awarded at the discretion of the Quizmaster.
6. The Quizmaster is always right, no matter how wrong he may be.

Luke,

>>At the Lee Chapel, near the grave sites of Robert E Lee and his wife, Washington & Lee Univ, Lexington, VA<<

Correct!  Actually, Traveller's grave is outside Lee Chapel, and the Lee graves are in the crypt under the Chapel, but close enough.  Congratulations!

Hi John.  Had to get back to work so I couldn't round out the details.  Here is a good virtual tour of the Lexington site:  http://www.civilwaralbum.com/misc/lexington_va1.htm  No carrots on the date of the photo.
