..we've always stayed friends for the kids and have always been there for them so now all we can do is pray he'll pull through with flying colors...>> That's the way to do it!! <<I'll keep you informed as to how it goes.>> Please do. << Like I've told my kids..."Let go and let God"...He's in the Director's seat now. So we wait....>> When we realize it is completely out of our hands and up to God, it is amazing the calmness that can come over you...not one fear did I have. Whatever would be, would be. Talking about infections near the time of valve replacement....you know my colon ruptured four months before my heart surgery. I was in ICU and hospital 3 times longer thenthan for the heart surgery. Heart surgeon would not touch me until all my infection had cleared up and I regained a little strength. Cindy did not realize the seriousness of the rupture until she compared the time in the hospitals. So, she said the heart surgery must "have been a piece of cake". LOL I don't blame you for wanting the best hospital around for this surgery....more patients, better doctors, more experience, etc. That's why I chose UAB and the head doctor of the Heart Center instead of the local hospital. He also did my first valve replacement. I told him he better not ever retire! He said "Retire? What's that?" LOL “ Always be a little kinder than necessary.“
