For those who take the Wall Street Journal's opinions as fact:

Obama's absolutely right about Fox News.

Interesting. Thanks for posting.

Thomas Frank is the Wall Street Journal's "house liberal." They provide him, with a regular column in order to offer some balance to their generally conservative views, which he does very ably; but he hardly represents the paper's opinions.

The NY Times used to do the same sort of thing in reverse with the late William Safire; but after they took away his political column, it was replaced by one from David Brooks, who is hardly a true conservative voice.

If the Wall Street Journal did not want that opinion on their pages, they would not have published it.

Though the local Fox affiliate in Detroit seems to do a decent job (As good as any other station) on local news.

When it comes to "network" news... Many folks call it Faux (prounced the same, but quite a different meaning)  I'm among them.

The Fox affiliate in LA (channel 11) isn't bad either.  It's just the network wackos who have the big problems.  Faux News, Fix News, Fox Noise, and there's always Keith Olbermann's favorite, Cluster Fox.  :)

edited to add.... Not that Olbermann isn't a world class windbag too, when he wants to be.  He was a lot funnier when he was here in LA doing the sports.

You may pronounce it the same, but in the French from which it comes, the word faux is pronounced as the English word foe.

Best regards,  4merCL

Yes, that's how I learned to prounce it too.

However you have to use a bit of poetic license when it comes to Fox/Faux news

How did Keith every get on a spot on a sports show.  Seems he is always negative.  I find it very interesting when there is a camera shot of three of the four with Keith left out.  Not sure he adds much to the show, politics aside.

Olbermann started out doing sports, if I remember right.  He was on Channel 5 in Los Angeles and was a pretty funny guy back then.  I never watched him on ESPN, but apparently he had a sense of humor in those days, too.

I think he looked better with a mustache.
