Its getting time for them pesky lil darling varmints to come visit our houses in the US, yelling (but the little ones whisper) 'trick or treat!' Aside from buying some candy, we are considering whethor we want to decorate or not this year.  Also, it seems that some decorate more for Halloween than they do for ChristmasWhat are ya'll planning on doing?

About all that I do is hand out candy.  Some years I've had a shtick where I wore all black and when the little kids would hold out a bag - they don't seem to remember to ask "Trick or Treat?" any more - I'd reach my hand toward a bag and ask in a creaky creepy voice, "For me"?  This is usually met with squeals and protests by the little ones.  (It's wasted on bigger kids.)   Then of course I give them something.  The little ones usually seem to enjoy someone who's being playful and not just handing out the candy.

But this year I'm sick.  I've got bronchitis and a fever.  I can barely talk.   I think I'll have to turn the lights out and just avoid the whole thing.

I am trying to decide if I should wear a costume or not when I pass out the candies.  I have thought about being dressed in really scary  outfits:   a dentist or a lawyer.

Whatcha think?

I'd suggest a dentist, and have some fierce looking metal implements available.

Lawyers usually seem to scare people only when we present bills, and I think that's too subtle for kids trick-or-treating. <g>

Yeah, but look what it does to the parents!
