Doug
I think that you mean your message for me.
Thank you, I have heard of this book and I shall take steps to see it.
At present I am reading "A Trenchard Brat at War" which is about a lad who joined the RAF as an Aircraft Apprentice (Trenchard Brat) at the age of 16. He was a technician on a bomber squadron before the War and later became aircrew as a Flight Engineer and flew many Ops before being shot down. He evaded but was betrayed and captured. He later escaped but was recaptured.
After the War he went to Canada on the ill fated Avro "Arrow" project.
After this foundered he went to work for Boeing.
He is still alive, aged 90 and lives in Ohio.
The book is published by
www.pen-and-sword.co.uk
a site you may find interesting.
