Too Many "Me's"

Suddenly I am beset with four friends/one relative who sign their cards, e-mails, etc. "ME". I figure five is the limit before I begin to get them mixed up, but I was wondering WHY somebody would sign themselves "ME"....when they have a perfectly good name. Too bad there's no Psychology forum.
