Is there not an easy way to highlight a sentence in Word 97? Like CTRL-click.  I can't seem to find it.
Thanks friends,
Richard

Isn't some concept of it implicit in the spell/grammar checker?  Some elements of poor grammar are violations of proper sentence structure.

Not really.  "Fragments" do not define a complete sentence, per se...

Thanks, Jerry.

That is a great response and I would flag it if such functionality were available.

Here's hoping the OP (Msg #1 in this thread) returns and reads your message.

Best regards,  4merCL

Well, I'll be darned.  i knew that I had been able to do that with a previous version, and with Ashton Tate's Framework years ago.
Thank you,
R

Extend selection (F8) still works even in Word 2007 (KB290938).     -Jerry

What is this F8 doing?  I can't quite figure it out.  I tried it.  I still can't select a whole sentence by clicking once within the sentence.  I ususally hold down the shift key and use the L & R cursors to extend a selection.  But, I am pretty sure that I could click once and select a sentence.

Ah, I tried again.  If I select one word anywhere in a doc. then hit F8, the selection extends to the full sentence.  I was not selecting a word before.

THanks,

R

Yes, you need to start with some selection. Then keep hitting F8 to extend it.     -Jerry
