<<I have *forced* myself to buy a light blue and hot pink sweaters, but I rarely wear them. I do wear lots of green and blue in warmer weather.>>
Why not think of it like this, Winter is the time of rest, as Mr. Bear hibernates, we also tend to slow down. However it is a time of new birth and prepareing, as the trees are still growing their roots (becoming more grounded in mother earth and preparing for their new spring growth), Ms. Bear is giving birth to her young, and other animals are growing new life within for birth in the Spring. As a time of rest we can allow ourselves a break so we can also find some grounding and prepare for new growth in the Spring. So it's OK to change colors to reflect your down time. However, Winter is also a good time to wear bright colors because they can lift our spirits during a dark (winter = night of the year) time of the year. Haven't you ever noticed that lady wearing a bright red jacket and thought to yourself, 'how beautiful!' I saw a lady in the market the other day wearing a beautiful purple coat and I had to tell her how nice it looked. We talked for a bit and found out that we had both lived in Austin, but now spending time in Missouri.
<<I do not LIKE to be noticed! <eeeek!> >>
Being noticed can be accomplished in many ways rather we want to be noticed or not. It's our inner diety that is being noticed - the god or goddess within that recognizes others and calls them to us. There are times we can be like Ms. Fox and hide ourselves in the midst of people, but there are times to be noticed. It's being aware of when to be what. What lies have you believed about yourself that leads you to this statement? What story have you believed about being noticed? Is it truth?
I didn't realize I had posted this to Lynne, Hi Lynne. Now I'll have to go reread where I posted. LOL Freda, Hi Freda. Are you laughing?
Thank you ladies for allowing me to be a part of the Women's Forum. I enjoy reading the female perspective as it helps me stay in touch with my femine side. Namaste,
