It makes me so upset to know Netscape is gone... we had amazing times back in the old glory days. Really makes me sad! Ahhh the Internet is nothing like it used to be.

Hi!

If you are looking for a current version of the Netscape web browser, try downloading SeaMonkey. It's pretty much the same thing.

Jay looks like Netscape is already back,because with my settings adjusted just right and with the right adobe flash player 10,active x and plugin,adobe reader,air,adobe shockplayer,adobe download manager,acrobat .com, plus java along with their javascript for my 2000 windows its working fine for me. { :>)Keep punching and let me know

Netscape, the "company" is no longer with us. The applications still work, but barely.

Thanks Jay,I agree,in Facebook and useing Netscape,it all works fine except it dont show the pictures,of which, is a drag
Well heck fire.That was using windows 2000,now i'm gonna try Netscape using windows xp and i let you know how it turns out,ok

The operating system doesn't affect the browser, no difference between Windows 98 or XP for that matter. It's the browser NS 7 that's old and basically useless today.

I use Netscape 9 all the time as my primary browser. Of course I almost always have Firefox open too. And sometimes IE, Safari, Chrome, Opera, etc. But it is ingrained into my soul to fire up my computer and click on Netscape.

If AOL still owns the Netscape name but they don't want to do anything with it why don't they just sell it to somebody who could make use of it? Somebody certainly could've made a cool mobile browser with the Netscape name.

Also, it seems like a ton of people have downloaded the "Simple Green" Netscape theme for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6269) so there is still some interest out there.

And I wonder how Time Warner supposedly jettisoning AOL may have any affect on Netscape.

Jay, what are your feelings? Do you have any desire to see the Netscape brand revived? Or has it lost all meaning to you?
