I re-installed 7.2 (after crash) on my XP (abd Explorer 8) , but Netscape will not start now.

I checked and all my profile info is safely present in "Documents & Settings/Application Data/Mozilla," but when I re-installed 7.2 from disk, clicking on Netscape icon does absolutely nothing.

I then moved my Mozilla file to a safe place in another file, un-installed Netscape, and then re-installed Netscape hoping it would creat another Mozilla file in Documents and Settings.  It did not.

At a loss. Can anyone help?

You are positively brilliant and I cannot thank you enough.  You have reconnected me to all of my worldwide friends, other writers, editors, etc.

I must admit that it was a little difficult to recreate my user profile - I had to scrounge around and find POP this and SMTP that - because it has been at least five years since I created my original profile.  (and my 76 year old brain does not function as well it used to).

But I now have Netscape up again and get to sift through 4 days mail in my inbox.
