Nativity scenes don't physically harm or kill people.

>>Why differentiate between Christians and Muslims?

As far as religious beliefs I really don't care to draw comparisons. That's a loaded question I prefer not to answer. Do you think there's a difference?

You: Do you think there's a difference?

What kind of differences are you thinking of?

I believe the Muslims I have met in this forum are better people than I am.
Is this what you mean by your question?

However, my question was, "Why should we differentiate between Christians and Muslims."
This is what you are doing, isn't it?
If not, could you explain why not, please?

Mel>> What kind of differences are you thinking of?

I'm not thinking anything in paticular. You asked me that question in the first place. I said I preferred not to answer. You must think something, or why did you ask it ?

I believe the Muslims I have met in this forum are better people than I am.
Is this what you mean by your question?

I'm sure there are...even better than myself.

No, I did not.  If you review the question I asked you, you will find I didn't ask you if there was a difference between Muslims and Christians.

>>You must think something, or why did you ask it ?<<

I must think something? Your statement seems a bit bizarre to me.
Are you suggesting that there are times when I don't think of anything?

>>I'm sure there are...even better than myself.<<

The wording here implies you might believe you are better than I am.
Curious, what?

You: >>Who did then? <<

To the best of my knowledge, no one.  Nonetheless, I know I didn't .

If you believe I am mistaken, please show me the evidence.  A back quote or a message number would work.

I don't believe you can show anywhere where I posted that Muslims and Christians are different.  Hint. To differentiate is not the same as two things being different.

If you are mistaken, is there a possibility that you will admit so on the board?  That is the Christian way, isn't it?

Mel: >>The wording here implies you might believe you are better than I am.

You: >>You're so wrong.<<

I don't believe so.  I'm not saying you were implying anything.  I am saying the wording implied something.  Do you see the difference?

No disrespect, but I wonder if you may have a falacy of picking apart "DOO-DOO" out of fly s###. I fail to understand how my words are misinterpreted to be insulting or offensive when I KNOW that is not what my intentions were. I also wonder if because I am not liked in this forum, as George told me in a previous post, is why the meaning of my words are always taken in a negative way by you and Calvin. I am trying my best to get along in this forum in every best and civil manner I can, even though my views may not favor that of yours and others. I'm not here to offend or insult anyone. There was a time I use to do these things, but I didn't like that side of myself, nor did I respect being that way, and nor do I intend to repeat it.

I believe it is possible you are attempting to play some kind of game with me.

First, you post a complaint that I don't voice my opinions and my beliefs.  Then when I post my opinions and beliefs, you post a message about doo-doo and fly dung and post some garbage about not being liked by others in the forum.

Which do you want, a conversation where I ask questions in an attempt to understand your beliefs or a conversation where I voice my beliefs and you compare my opinions to fly dung?

I see where I was in error of misunderstanding your question. I am due for a new pair of glasses. So, I will apologize for thinking you asked me what WAS the difference instead of WHYSo let me answer this again if I may. I only differentiate between the two for the fact that the acts of terrorism against this nation were mainly Muslim Islamic extremists. I have not heard of where non-Muslims were behind the 911 terrorist acts in this nation, or other such deliberate attacks against innocent people for religious beliefs.

Mel and Rapture:

Much as we all like a debate, would it not be a good thing for this to be placed elsewhere?  It seems to be getting a little heated, and does not serve the interests of this topic.

Just a suggestion to "the powers that be"...

The word "mainly" is used.  In fact, there have been many terrorist acts within the United States done by non-Muslims, and a number which have been justified by those doing them by their beliefs, religious or otherwise.

I'm aware of America's past history that was less than perfect. My thoughts however were referring to the time frame of 911 up to the present. I do agree it would be better to drop the subject.

Here's one incident.  All I did was Google "Aryan Nation."

I don't deny we have those few nut jobs in America, but this is an isolated case of one individual not connected to a specific group, race or religion that hold the same cause and ideals. Did he have any followers ploting bombings or connections with others like him in other parts of the world? Did he have any funding from others like him, or supports funding money to others like him in other countries? I know of no non-Muslims who do these things in todays world. Using past crimes of America's history or islolated cases such as this old man seem to be the excusing arguments of the 911 tragedy. This old man doesn't compare to what really threatens America, or other nations. Thank you for your time.

Odd, isn't it that a group of bigoted white guys who conspire to harm others doesn't make the news as often as a group of brown and black guys.

Why do you think that is?
