Thursday, November 5th #9268 Summary
Lily and Cane continue to flirt and enjoy their new found romance until Lily falters and Cane realizes that she has a bit of a fever. At chemo, the nurse takes Lily's temperature and learns that she has a fever of 103 and immediately calls Lily's doctor. Cane calls Neil with the news
that Lily is being admitted to the hospital with an infection. The doctors explain to Lily that they need to bring Lily's fever down or she could die.
Billy moves the magazine into the dive bar for the time being while his lawyers challenge Nick's eviction. Billy gets a call about another advertiser pulling out their support. Later, Billy tries to pump up his staff with a speech about the next issue. Mac chimes in with an idea about writing an article about an everyday hero since their next issue is their holiday issue. Billy is inspired by the idea. Chance invites Chloe to go shopping with him and it clears he's decided to change his attitude towards Chloe and Nina isn't happy. Meanwhile, Jill and Paul are caught by Kay as Jill is explaining to Paul more background on how Kay gave her real daughter up. Chance comes into the dive bar at the tail end of the Restless Style meeting to see Billy and Chloe together. Chance doesn't believe Chloe when she explains that her meeting was at the bar. Later, Nina reveals to Paul that she is considering taking her screenplay in a new direction and focusing on Kay's real daughter. Billy goes ballistic when he mistakes Emily for Patty at the coffeehouse. Jack tries to explain to everyone that Emily isn't Patty. Meanwhile, Nina refuses to see how much Chloe really cares for Chance. Emily asks Jack to take his job offer and shove it. Jack makes it clear to Emily that his intentions are to do whatever he can to help Patty. Later, Emily admits that she was interested in the job before she found out that Jack was involved in her getting it. Later, Emily explains to Jack that she accepted the job at G.C.U.
