I just happened to catch it on my niece's Vista laptop so I decided to check my own Vista laptop and XP machines again today. I ran MS Update on both machines and both said that I needed to update the Windows Update software before I could actually check for "updates". It was also an interesting process.... I said to go ahead and install the new Windows UPdate software. It went thru the download process and what I thought was the installation process. I rebooted the computer and ran MS Update again. This time I got an "install?" message (again). I did so and then all was well. That is to say, it seemed to be a 2-step process to get the new Windows Update working??? If you didn't see it/get it, then perhaps they are sending it out in batches. This might explain why the guy posted this thread in the first place. Perhaps he got the change in the first batch. Again, though, the Vista update screen is only slightly different from before, not completely different... connie
