I'm assuming you can't toss this in the dishwasher? Too scientific for me, I don't have to be that precise.

I wonder how accurate it might be in measuring weight - not that I've tested my more expensive Salter electronic scale.

As do I.  It's kept in a cupboard but at the front of a low shelf.  I like this somewhat newer one because I can zero it after putting the container o and then after added ingredients.  There's a term for that which somehow escapes me right now. <S>

If it weighs items, I would assume there are some electronics built into the cup, in which case I would not be putting it in the dishwasher.
