===captain america and astroboy were my favorites as kid ==

Astroboy has returned to the airwaves on the Toon Network. It is an all new version with all the look from the past. In other words, all the humans have weird noses. There is supposed to be a live action version for the theatres in the works too. I was channel flipping and caught a few minutes of the show, it looked pretty good.
Have you seen METROPOLIS? It is a full length film from the creator of Astroboy. It is an incredible film.

Captain America is a great suggestion for these times. He is the ultimate patriot who does not follow any political agenda. He is similar to Superman in this aspect.
I have always thought that it would be great to make a WWII version with him and Bucky fighting the Red Skull.
Or a modern version where we drop him in the Mid-east could be interesting.

Although I liked a number of superheroes, Spider-Man was my all-time favorite superhero.  I could relate to Peter Parker in some ways ... and Mary Jane was quite a looker. ;)

The movies also lived up to the enjoyment of the comic book representations, which is not always the case.

I think HULK was absolutely a good movie. I would have to pick HULK..Because I feel it has been throughly researched, planned, and acted well. The movie felt like when i was reading comics books that no other movies did except Dick Tracy.. I liked Michael Keaton in Batman. I also enjoyed Dare Devil comics but the movie with Ben Affleck was OK. 'Unbreakable' was good. I havent seen Hellboy, hope its good

Spider-Man is the best hero because Peter Parker is this typical loser kinda guy until a freak accident from a spider bite transformed him into Spider-Man! ^ ^
He fights for the protection of the innocent people with no reward or benefit knowing he must sacrifice all including MJ (Mary Jane) to claim a destiny if which he didn't fight as Spider-Man then there would be no one to stop the salvo of villians that threaten to destroy/kill all that is good.
His heart is in the right place, he deserves more credit as a hero than most people I know give him..
He's just your friendly neighborhood
Spider-Man.. ^ *
